What is Undertale?
Undertale is a role-playing video game developed by Toby Fox and published by Toby Fox Productions, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game was announced during the Game Developers Conference in March 2017, and was officially unveiled at E3 the following year.
Undertale is a 2D action-adventure game with a randomly generated world, in which players control a human protagonist as they explore it and battle monsters in order to save the world. The player’s choices during the game determine the course of the story.
How did you come up with the name “Sans Undertale”?
We came up with the name Sans Undertale after we played through Undertale again and noticed how great it was that there was no dialogue wheel. We thought it would be fun to do a sans keyboard theme and make it available for everyone to use. We hope you like it!
Actually, the name Sans Undertale was actually inspired by a character in an old video game I used to play called Earthbound. The character’s name was Sans (and his brother Papyrus), and they were two of my favorite characters. In Earthbound, Sans had a really funny line where he says “Undertale? What’s that?” I thought it would be funny to name my company after that line.
What inspired you to create this project?
I was inspired to start this project because I believe that it’s important for people to have access to information that is unbiased and accurate. I also believe that it’s our responsibility as content creators to help people learn and understand the world around them.
